Run IPCONFIG /ALL on your st servers and see if any have a secondary IP address setup in the 192 range.

0x80000001 means request is invalid due to invalid state or parameters, so maybe some other application on 192.168.22.2 is trying to connect to the Sametime server using the Sametime port?

FYI the VPUSERINFO.NSF only stores buddylist information, nothing to do with connection docs etc.
